linkup & learn is an opportunity to learn and network at an evening seminar at Moksha, Brightons ultimate independent caffe. Entrance is £6 and includes a drink of your choice, so we will hope you will be able to join us for a very enjoyable evening.

linkup & learn is going to a great way for managers and leaders to absorb additional skills and techniques in a relaxed and informal setting.

We are excited to be present two interesting topics:

'Leading Difficult (or Just Different?) People' with Gary Elton-Shewan, Owner and Head Trainer at The Learning Labyrinth (TLL Ltd).

  • One source of stress in the workplace is working with or leading people that you may perceive as difficult. When teams work together, there will quite often be someone who is singled out as being 'the difficult one'. However, difficult is quite often nothing more than just DIFFERENT.
  • Managing or leading a team of individuals with many different talents, strengths and communication styles will always have its challenges. Difficult pairings can often be the source of a clash and can lead to stressful situations for managers, individuals and teams.
  • There are many characteristics essential for any high performing team. This session will look at how BELBIN team roles highlights the importance of finding a common ground for awkward pairings to work towards, and the important role the leader has in ensuring individuals value the contribution of their colleagues.
  • Is the fact that we are looking for a well rounded team, rather than a well rounded individual?

'Understanding Mental Toughness' with Anna Golawski who has a wealth of experience as a published trainer and mentor.

  • Working environments today are fast-paced, constantly changing and result in ever increasing demands, which can cause high levels of stress. The difference between those who thrive and those who fail can be described as ''Mental Toughness''.
  • Mental Toughness explains how individuals develop resilience and an inner drive to succeed. A key component closely linked to Performance, Behaviour, Wellbeing and Aspirations.
  • This session looks at why mental toughness skills are important formleaders in challenging times and also looks at the behaviours and characteristics of mentally tough people.
  • We will highlight how mental toughness skills can be developed to cope with everyday workplace challenges and pressures that are placed on business leaders.

  • using the best tools and techniques to deliver high impact/low duration events.

And what about our values? Not just words, these provide a practical framework for how we work.  We strive to be:
